That person asking to be called beautiful, might not be fishing for compliments as you perceive it. Stop and wonder, “Could they be crying themselves to sleep, only to wake up in the middle of the night and start again?” Remember, they may look somewhat attractive and put off the wrong vibe, but you don’t know their life. If you want to judge or make comments, keep them to yourself. You never know what that person’s going through. Just as I don’t know your life, you don’t know theirs. Let’s just be tolerant and loving. Let’s not be a contributing factor to the problem.

We use words like, “Bitch,” and, “Slut,” and, “Whore,” so often and it’s sickening. I’m not saying that I’m perfect, but I’m sure as Hell trying- at least when it comes to this issue. I’ve known people who’ve taken their lives when they hit the bottom. Every word you say, every smile you hold back could be another inch that gun raises, another line down their arm. Think about that.

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words help cut the soul.
